Fabric Inspection:

Inspection in reference to the apparel industry can be defined as the visual examination or review of raw materials. The inspections are done to control the quality of fabric in the RMG industry. There are so many facilities for inspection in every section of the garments industry. The aim of the inspection is to reduce the time and cost by identifying the faults or defects in every step of garments making. In this article flowchart of fabric inspection in the readymade garment industry is given for both knitted and woven fabric. Flow chart of fabric inspection in RMG industry is as follows:

Fabric receivedAll the woven fabrics are received here by the fabric inspector.
Manual fabric inspectionHere, the fabric inspector identifies all the visible faults containing in the fabric.
GSM testFabric GSM has to check here by using a GSM cutter or without using a GSM cutter.
Shrinkage testIn the case of woven fabric, it is very important to test. The fabric quality inspector confirms the fabric shrinkage test here.
Shade checkAccording to buyers’ provided approved shade, all the fabrics are checked here.
Confirmation of fabric qualityFinally, the fabric quality inspector shows here the actual fabric quality report.

Quality is the main for any products. In today’s readymade garment – RMG business buyers are trying to satisfy their customers by marketing quality products. As a result, it’s a mandatory duty for the garment manufacturers to inspect all the sections of garment manufacturing. Fabric inspection is one of the parts of those sections. Fabric inspection has done in the case of knit fabrics and woven fabrics.
